An Examination of Fundamental Ideas and Theories in the Public Health Model and Its Development Over Time

Abstract
ABSTRACT
A crucial field that has advanced significantly over time is public health. Its theoretical underpinnings and concepts have developed from narrow concerns about illness treatment to a holistic strategy centered on community-level prevention and health promotion. The goal of this study is to present a thorough theoretical analysis of the public health paradigm, following its development from its classical origins to modern integrated models and examining the fundamental ideas and theories that shaped it. Using a theoretical analytical method, the study documented theoretical and intellectual advancements in the field by evaluating pertinent literature and references. The findings demonstrated how changes in health policies have affected the evolution of the notion of public health, emphasizing the shift from curative to integrated preventive models that take into account social, economic, and environmental aspects. The findings also showed how many ideas, including ecological, sociological, and vaccination theories, have influenced the creation of more potent health instruments and regulations. The study concludes by highlighting how crucial it is to comprehend how public health concepts and theories have evolved in order to support more comprehensive and successful future health policies, particularly in light of emerging issues and the realization that there are several elements influencing community health. -
